We Had A Demo of Hosthub: This Is What We Discovered

We’ve tried 9 different property management software platforms. Yes, 9, in our quest to find the perfect management software to use. That’s how much we’re intentional about everything we do at Homevy. Now, we’re on our 10th try: Hosthub.

10 is a crazy number, but we don’t like to settle.

If you’re managing properties and are unsure which short-term rental software is right for you, this review might help you.

What Is Hosthub Like?

Hosthub’s dashboard made a solid first impression. No clutter, no trying to impress us with a million and one things. Just a clean, colour-coded calendar and clearly marked sections for bookings, messages, and settings.

If you’re the type that appreciates simplicity, Hosthub has that. The calendar view, in particular, made it easy to track availability across platforms at a glance. Everything was carefully arranged without being overwhelming.

Now, we’d be lying if we said it was all great, but compared to some of the more full-featured software we tried, it was clear early on that Hosthub focused mostly on one thing: syncing your listings across channels. And believe us, they’re doing it well.

What We Discovered from Hosthub’s Demo

What Hosthub's Demo told us

Hosthub’s channel management tools were clearly the star of the show. Syncing listings across Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, you name it, was seamless.

The updates were almost instant, too. No lag, no mix-ups. (If you’ve ever double-booked a weekend in two places at once, you’ll know why that’s a big deal).

But when we started to look at the “extras”—maintenance logs, financial reports, detailed owner statements—we weren’t impressed. It was clear that Hosthub wasn’t built for that kind of depth.

What We Loved About Hosthub’s Short-Term Rental Software

Here’s what we loved during the demo:

1. Real-Time Calendar Syncing

We got instant updates across platforms. It took one of our biggest headaches (manual updates) and handled it beautifully. We’ve used tools that promised this but didn’t deliver fast or accurately enough. With Hosthub, we didn’t have to double-check every OTA. It just worked.

2. Great Channel Management

Hosthub had one dashboard to manage pricing, content, and availability across 200+ platforms. For a city like Dubai, where bookings come from everywhere—Airbnb, Booking.com, and even local platforms—this was a huge win. Some PMS tools we tried either supported fewer channels or made it difficult to push changes live. Hosthub simplified this.

3. Unified Inbox

Hosthub’s unified inbox is just as great as what we saw in Guesty and Lodgify. Both had solid inbox systems, but what made Hosthub different was how quickly messages synced and how intuitive the interface felt.

4. Automated Messages

In simple words—Hosthb nailed their automated messages. They had customizable templates for every stage of the booking process—from inquiry to checkout. You set it once, and it keeps that human touch. 10/10 for Hosthub’s short-term rental software.

How Much Does Hosthub Cost?

Hosthub’s pricing starts at $21.4/month per property. And with discounts you get it at $17.1/month at an annual billing.

It’s a solid value—especially if your main focus is channel management. Hosthub stands out for not charging extra for core features like calendar sync or higher booking volumes, which isn’t always the case with other platforms.

But here’s the catch: Hosthub is primarily a channel manager, not an all-in-one PMS. If you need features like maintenance tracking, owner reporting, or detailed financials, you’ll likely need to pair it with other software—so your total tech stack cost might go up. At that point, full-service platforms might start to make more sense.

Where Hosthub’s Software Could Improve

Two things stood out:

1. Limited Property Management Features

Hosthub just doesn’t go deep when it comes to things like maintenance logs, detailed owner reports, or financial summaries. If you’re a full-service management company, you’d need to plug in extra tools—and that can get messy fast.

2. Basic Task Management

Sure, you can set up cleaning tasks after a booking. But assigning tasks to specific team members or tracking maintenance issues? Hosthub is not really built for that.

For our Dubai-based operations—where timing and top-tier service matter—those were important gaps.

Is Hosthub the Right Choice for You in 2025?

If you’re managing a few properties and your biggest pain point is keeping your listings synced across platforms, Hosthub nails it. It’s reliable, straightforward, and saves you a ton of time.

But for Homevy, we needed more. We run a full-service operation in a fast-moving market, and the lack of deeper tools—like financial reporting and task tracking—meant we’d be stitching together multiple systems. And that’s not how we wanted to grow.

In the end, Hosthub wasn’t the all-in-one solution for us. And then we found the perfect match, Hostaway
