Dubai Marina sounds good so far, yeah? Well, we’re just getting started. Let’s talk about 7 fun activities to do in Dubai Marina.

Water sports are “a thing” in Dubai Marina. Try paddleboarding and kayaking, there are several spots for it, and it only costs around AED 90 – AED 150 per person.
One thing you can’t miss in Dubai Marina is Skydive Dubai. You’ll get to brag about freefalling at 200 mph while taking in the aerial view of Palm Jumeirah. You just have to try it. There’ll be an experienced instructor by your side, and you’ll also receive a certificate of completion – so, you have nothing to worry about. However, it’s relatively expensive with prices starting from AED 2,199.
Waterparks aren’t just for kids. Once in a while, we all need to be carefree and channel our inner child. Aquafun Waterpark is the best way for this. It’s the world’s largest inflatable waterpark, located right on the water at Dubai Marina, with loads of slides and fun challenges. It costs AED 180 per person.
Remember your accommodation options? Yeah, The Cayan Tower is also an attraction too. Even if you don’t live there, consider visiting the architectural beauty and take some photos. Homevy joke: Dubai’s rent is so high, even the buildings are twisting under the pressure. *Deep cackles* No? Okay. Let’s get back to business.
Remember the viral audio; “I’ve suffered for 19 years, it’s time to shake my “…” on a yacht, in a “…..”? You remember? Okay. You can do all of that by simply renting a yacht for a day. Not only will you get to do what the audio said, you’ll also enjoy a private tour of the coastline.
And while we can’t name names, rumour has it that you’ll spot a few celebrity homes along the way too. Yacht rentals in Dubai Marina start at around AED 163 per hour and can go as high as AED 1,400. However, the price varies on the size & type of yacht.
Next to yacht rentals are boat cruises. They’re just as nice and they’re cheaper. These cruises are perfect for singles, families, or couples looking to have a new experience. The prices range from AED 30 – AED 100 per person, but there are also cheaper options.
We’ve talked about the Marina a lot and for good reason. Now if you really want to slow down and soak in life, go by the Marina Walk. It’s a 7-kilometer path that runs along the water, lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops. You can take a stroll, grab a drink at one of the many spots, enjoy the views, or even go for a morning or evening jog.
Enough about the stunning views and luxurious living, let’s talk about food and nightlife. Here are the best restaurants in and around Dubai Marina, often coveted by our Airbnb guests.
Pier 7 is a circular building located next to the Marina Mall. Now, Pier 7 itself isn’t a restaurant. Instead, it has 7 floors of the best dining experiences. They serve exquisite cuisines, gourmet dishes, and even seafood. You name it, they have it. Pier 7 is perfect for date night, solo date, or a night out with the family.
Want some British food? The Scene is the place to go. It’s located on the 4th floor of Pier 7, Dubai Marina Mall. It has a menu filled with British classics like battered fish and chips, glazed beef rib, and chocolate peanut butter fondant. The restaurant is open daily from 10 AM to 2 AM and provides a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. For reservations, you can contact 04 422 2328 or visit their website.
Shades is a spot where you can kick back either on the outdoor terrace or inside. The menu has a mix of international and local dishes, and their Friday brunch is a favorite. There’s also a pool area to chill by, and a bar serving up delicious cocktails. However, reservations are a must, especially on busy days. The dress code is smart casual, and for the latest info on menus or events, just give them a call or check their website.
And for a ravishing night out in Dubai, consider these top spots:
Asides the luxury waterfront living, there are places in Dubai Marina that can make your experience more memorable. These hidden, one-of-a-kind places include:
A boutique café is similar to a clothing “boutique store” but without the clothes. Instead, it’s stylish, not crowded or stuffy and the vibes are just zen. One of our favorite boutique cafés is Breaking Bread. It is located at the Marina Pinnacle (Tiger Building). They have lovely pastries, amazing coffee, and it’s perfect for a quiet morning or an afternoon break from work. They are also one of the few businesses that accept cryptocurrency payments.
If you want to get away from the water, visit Gallery 27. The vibes are clean and of course, very aesthetic. When you’re done at Gallery 27, visit Al Jaber Gallery, located at the Dubai Marina Mall. The gallery carries a vast collection of antiques and art crafts for any home. Oh, and we’re pretty sure you’ll fit right in. (Because, well… you’re art too :-))
The Dubai Marina Walk is bustling, but if you want a quieter spot to enjoy the view, head to the Pier 7 Rooftop. Not everyone knows about it. And watching the sunset from the rooftop? Perfect for a solo or couple date. If you want more privacy, consider visiting JBR Beach early in the morning or just before sunset. You won’t regret it.
Now most festivals and events are loud, but surprise surprise, there are a few cultural events that take place quietly.
One of them is the Dubai Marina Food Festival, which showcases local food vendors, international delicacies, and live entertainment. It’s not as crowded as the big festivals in other parts of Dubai, so it’s a better option for foodies and culture lovers.
If you like that, you’ll like the Dubai Marina Market, where local artisans and creators come together to display their crafts like handmade jewelry and unique clothing pieces. It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up something special and support local talent.
Homevy Tip: If you want some quietness, don’t go on weekends, everyone will be there. Go during weekdays instead.

So we’ve sorted out your accommodation and social life. Let’s talk about how you can actually get around town.
The Dubai Metro makes moving about easy. It takes about 7 minutes to pass through Dubai Marina, with four stations on the Red Line. Fares range from AED 3-4 (USD 0.8-1.1). The metro runs daily from 5 a.m. to midnight, with extended hours on weekends.
This transportation option is suitable for exploring the Marina. It connects you to popular places like the beach and the waterfront promenades. For instance, getting off at JBR 1 station puts you within walking distance of Marina Beach and JBR Beach. The tram is affordable at AED 3 per ride and operates from 6:30 AM to 1 AM. On Fridays, it starts at 9 AM.
The Marina buses are a great option if you’re looking to save money while getting around. They cover every corner of the Marina, so you can easily hop on and off wherever you need to go. The best part? They run 24/7, so you won’t have to worry about late nights or early mornings. You’ll always find a bus when you need one.
Just make sure you have a Nol card with enough credit. Cash isn’t accepted, so, this is the only way to pay. With buses running frequently, you won’t wait long either. This makes exploring the area easyyyyyy.
While it’s easy to use public transportation in Dubai Marina, you may still need to use a taxi or rent a car for convenience and privacy.
Walking or cycling is one of the best ways to enjoy the Marina’s stunning views. With pedestrian-friendly walkways along the water and bike rentals available, you can easily visit every corner of Dubai Marina.
If you’re not sold on Dubai Marina yet, let’s talk.
